What we look at
- Growth and feeding — weight, length and head size, and how feeding is going, whether breastfed or formula-fed
- Newborn jaundice — checking the yellowish colour many babies develop in the first days, and advising on when it needs treatment
- Everyday worries — sleep, crying, colic, the umbilical cord, skin rashes, stools and more
- The first vaccinations — BCG, OPV and Hepatitis B, and a plan for the months ahead
When to come in sooner
Please visit promptly — or go to the nearest emergency department — if your baby has a fever, is feeding poorly, is unusually sleepy, has difficulty breathing, or if the jaundice seems to be spreading or deepening.
